Guitar Woody and the Boilers play a variety of rockin' boogie woogie blues. We can whip out classic R&B, blues, soul, jazz, a little swing, and even throw in some country, surf, or a Cajun stomp for fun!

Beginning in '91 as the house band for 2 years at the Icehouse blues jam in Reno, Guitar Woody & the Boilers, have gone on to open concerts for national blues/boogie recording acts such as:  John Lee Hooker, Little Charlie & the Nightcats,  Tinsley Ellis,  Debbie Davies,  Roy Rogers & the Delta Rhythm Kings,  Commander Cody & the Lost Planet Airmen, The Paladins,  The Sundogs,  Elvin Bishop,  Charlie Musslewhite,  Joe Louis Walker & the Bosstalkers, Magic Slim & the Teardrops,  and Savoy Brown,  .  .  .   And all to rave reviews.

They played the grand opening of the Wingfield Park Amphitheater in Reno, smoked at the St. Patty’s Day 2000 at Rapscallion, rocked a “Rollin on the River” concert in July 99, performed under the downtown Reno arch for Reno's 125th year birthday celebration, exploded for Skyfire 98, opened for Steppenwolf & Queen Ida at the Harley Street Vibrations, smoked the Rib Cook-off, commanded the Plumas co. Ski Club's Snowball Festival dances, the Cal-Neva Lodge new year's parties, a Boomtown new year's bash, the Winter Celebrity Olympics awards banquet at the resort on squaw creek,  and packed the dance floor at annual Incline Village Christmas parties where they also performed with members of Credence Clearwater Revival at the Château in Incline.

The band has also donated their talents to Easter seals' events and to the Reno Blues Society to help raise money for Special Olympics and Cystic Fibrosis. Along with making weddings and parties memorable, they also regularly perform in the northern Nevada area.
